Three-Peak Mornings
Every balcony at Trimounts faces the snow-clad trio that gives us our name. Wake up to it. No filter required.
Where the breath finds the mountain,
and the mountain holds your stillness —
yoga, here, is not a practice. It is the rhythm of the day.
Heaven on Earth — Discover the Soul of the Himalayas
Hidden in an apple orchard at the edge of Sharchi village, Trimounts is a ten-room boutique mountain stay framed by three snow-clad Himalayan peaks. The name itself is a quiet promise — three mountains, three reasons to stay, three days that will return you to yourself.
Here, days move with the river. Mornings begin with mist lifting off the deodars and the unhurried clink of copper pots. Evenings end with woodsmoke, slow conversation, and a sky thick with stars that cities have forgotten.
We are not a hotel chain. We are a small, family-built home in the mountains — kept carefully, run quietly, and opened only to guests who come looking for stillness, not stimulation. If that's you, you've found your place.
Far from city noise. Closer to yourself.
Curated 3–4 day wellness journeys in the heart of Tirthan Valley — small groups, every room mountain-facing.
A homecoming, built one stone at a time
Founder & Host
Tapesh built Trimounts as a return home — to the valley, to slow time, to the simple craft of looking after people well. A writer at heart and an obsessive host in practice, he is usually the first person you'll meet at the door and the last to leave the dining table. Every room, every menu, and every walking trail at Trimounts carries his fingerprint.
"Tirthan is what the Himalayas felt like before they were discovered. We didn't build Trimounts to add to it — we built it to protect it."
Trimounts means three mountains — the trio of snow-clad peaks our rooms face every morning. It is also our quiet pact with every guest: a small set of promises we keep, without exception, every time you stay with us.
Three peaks. A handful of promises. One quiet stay.
Unhurried. Unscheduled. Yours to shape.
Sunrise yoga on the deck, a glass of hot ginger-lemon, and a slow Himachali breakfast — eggs from the village, jam from our own apples, and fresh paranthas from the kitchen.
A guided trail to Choii Waterfall, a quiet walk through Sharchi's Kath-Kuni temples, or an afternoon of trout fishing on the Tirthan with our village guide.
Lunch is served when you're back, not on a schedule. After that — the library, a hammock in the orchard, a book, a nap. Whatever the day asks of you.
A sound bath in the wellness hall, dinner by candlelight, and a fire in the courtyard. By ten o'clock, the only sound is the river.
Trimounts sits in Sharchi village, 25 kilometres from Banjar in the Tirthan Valley — a quiet corner of Himachal Pradesh that has stayed, by a small miracle, almost exactly as it has been for two hundred years. There are no helipads here. No chain cafés. No honking. The road thins to a path. The path thins to your own footsteps.
Our ten rooms are spread across four levels of a hand-built wooden lodge, every window framed by deodar forest and the three peaks we are named for. The Great Himalayan National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage site — begins just beyond the orchard. The Tirthan River, turquoise and cold and full of brown trout, runs a short walk below.
The closest airport is Bhuntar (45 km away). The closest Volvo stop is Aut (1.5 hours). We arrange pickup from both, and from Chandigarh and Delhi for guests who prefer not to drive themselves into the mountains.
A boutique mountain stay, in a valley the world has not yet found.

Daily mountain-facing yoga led by a resident teacher. Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours.

Hand-cooked, seasonal meals from our orchard and Sharchi farms. Served on a single long table — never a buffet.

From a gentle morning walk to the falls to a full day inside the Great Himalayan National Park. We'll match the pace to you.

Quiet morning walks through 200-year-old Kath-Kuni temples, slate-roofed homes, and the Jamlu Rishi shrine.

A golden-hour walk to the meadow, a slow lunch, a sound bath under the deodars. Our most-loved afternoon.

A wood-stoked bonfire in the courtyard, hot apple cider in winter, and stories from the valley elders.

Ten rooms across four levels, lit warmly against the deodars. This is what coming home to Trimounts looks like.
Other quiet pleasures — trout fishing, sound baths, stargazing from the roof, our small library, door-to-door pickup — arrange on request. Just message us.
Every window opens to the valley. Tap any frame to look closer.
